Bernalillo Spreading Christmas Cheer With Kids Coats

Under the banner of Share the Warmth, the town of Bernalillo is conducting its annual Kids Coat Drive.

New coats in all youth sizes can be dropped off at Town Hall, 829 South Camino del Pueblo, during business hours through Nov. 18. Parents whose children need coats can visit Town Hall or call 505-867-3311 for information.

The town also manages a tradition dating to 1957 of providing donated Christmas gifts to children who might otherwise not receive one. Last year Santa delivered presents to 375 children from 125 families.

Forms to donate to the Children's Christmas Gift Fund and applications to receive gifts are on the town website. Donations also can be dropped off at Town Hall.
