Could your small business use a $3000 grant? This local non-profit wants to help

The Regional Development Corporation (RDC), a private non-profit economic development organization serving Northern New Mexico, is offering up to $3,000 to local small businesses  access equipment, software, training or consulting - basically anything that helps their small business' small dollars go farther. 

The RDC's micro-grant program provides a small infusion of capital up to $3,000 — to help businesses diversify, sustain or grow revenue, leverage other investment, and put systems in place that lead to growth and create job opportunities, according to the application. RDC will also provide support and information on other funding opportunities is provided to all applicants, regardless of whether or not they are awarded funding.

If you meet these eligibility requirements, you could receive a grant of between $500 and $3000 to expand your business:

• For-profit business

• Business license, CRS#, and a Business-only bank account

• In business at least 6 months from when application is submitted

• Headquartered in either Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos County

• Preference given to businesses located in rural areas or those not previously awarded

The deadline to submit an application closes May 12 and awards are expected to be announced just a few weeks later.
