Garden lovers get a preview of this year’s Placitas Garden Tour starting Saturday, as five local artists open an exhibition at the Placitas Community Library running through Sept. 20.
Linda Novy-Doll, Alex Athens, Tamara Harder, Kyle Hollingsworth and Christine Brunet Lecomte will show work in the library’s Collin Meeting Room before each artist sets up in a different local garden for the Sept. 13 Garden Tour, according to the Placitas Community Library Art Committee.
Buyers can purchase pieces at the library help desk during regular hours, or meet volunteers on-site Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thirty percent of sales go to the library and the Garden Tour as a donation.
Garden Tour ticket holders who stop by the library can also enter a drawing for a garden-themed gift basket, awarded at the tour’s close at 4 p.m. Sept. 13.
